The Transport Analysis Unit within Transport and Main Roads (TMR) provides statewide planning solutions for transport networks throughout Queensland to increase state transport network efficiency and safety. I`m currently working in modelling role within Transport Analysis dedicated to the Queensland Strategic Freight Model project and the State-wide Transport Network Performance Profiles project. Other projects I have contributed to include: - the State-wide Road Freight Tonnage project - the Commonwealth Games 2018 Live Site Volume on Capacity (VOC) Analysis, - the Gold Coast Park and Ride Facilities VOC Analysis, and - the North Queensland and Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Public Transport Network Plan - Service and Infrastructure Feasibility Costings. I also have experience with development assessment, property tenure management, strategic transport planning, and transport economics. Some of the larger projects I`ve worked on include future infrastructure project approvals for: - the Bus and Train (BAT) Tunnel, - the Eastern Busway, - the Inner Northern Busway, - the Moreton Bay Rail Link, and - the Northern Busway A number of strategic planning projects I`ve worked on include the Western Downs Regional Council Strategic Framework 2012 Review, and a number of the Brisbane City Council`s Neighbourhood Plan reviews including Darra, Nundah, Sherwood and Chermside. My roles within TMR and the QLD Government over the last five years include student and graduate planner to senior planner and project manager, I also lead a team during the recovery effort for the 2013 Qld Floods and recently for Cyclone Marcia. As a student I worked for Buckley Vann Town Planning Consultants where I gained valuable insights into my profession. I volunteer time to animal welfare, advocacy for town planning, analytics, and disaster and humanitarian relief efforts. I hope others can succeed as I have in my profession and I will help them get there.
